I am just a dad. I’m not a pediatrician or therapist or counselor or any type of professional that deals with children, nor am I a writer. I am just a guy who REALLY, REALLY likes being a dad, and that is usually abundantly clear to anyone who meets me in the presence of my son. For the past 5 years, when talking or writing about being a dad, I have constantly heard comments such as, “You know, you really should write all this down and share your thoughts.” So, I’m sorry it took so long to start this up; I’ve been too busy enjoying being a dad and constantly striving to always get better at it.
This site is not intended to be a “how to” manual. I just wanted to share some things that have been helpful FOR ME, as well as document some of the funny/interesting/crazy experiences that I’ve had in this journey we call fatherhood. Hopefully this site provides you something useful that helps you to enjoy being a dad as much as I do. If not, or if you disagree with anything I write, that’s cool. There is no one right or wrong way to do this, and like I said I’m not a professional. I’m just a dad, and I really love being one.
